Thanks Rolondo! Mike Snody makes some mean looking blades/designs and a hell of a salesman. I love his video's....lol He is a genius in the knife making world.

Thanks for the love bro!!!

Chris

Good looking knives! When I saw the thickness of the blade on your wife's knife I said "Oh damn! out loud. That is some serious steel. Like the chopper too. Reminds me of Snody.
Keep grinding!! I'd like to see more.

Nice stuff. I have a love affair with steel myself. I dont make knives,I just like them alot. I'm a metal guitarist in a touring band and have had my hands on steel for over 24 years. Like the feel of it,the smell of it,etcetc. Keep up the good work.

Very interested in the entry tool / Chopper. I know for a fact if I had one in hand I could sell multiple to my military buddies down south here. If you ever decide to make more for the ones interested here please let me know.

Thank You,

Brian,

Thank you very much! Thank you for your service brother.

Due to all of the interest. I have decided I am going to do a run of these. I am thinking of a price between $175-200 depending on what handle material is selected. I know that will vary from person to person. I sent David @ Great Lakes Water Jet an email for a quote on cutting several of these blanks for me. All this means is David will run my design through his Waterjet and cut the blanks out. 100% of the grinding, heat treating, tempering and handle fitting/sanding will be done by me. All this does is save me loath time on the steel hoarse....AKA The BandSaw. If anyone has ever cut 1/4"-5/16" blanks out on a bandsaw you know how tedious this is:censored::censored::thumb:

These will all come with kydex sheath and Tek-Lok;s or Molle-Loks I will leave that up to you as well. If you dont want an attachment system then we will knock off another $10.

So if any of you guys really want one of these send me a PM or an Email to: [email protected]

Again, thank you all for the support and encouragement. Its you guys that fuel the fire for knifemakers and in my case....Aspiring Rookie makers.

OKS Rules!!!

Chris

Hey Landman,

I wondered what happened to ya. Good to see you here and thanks for the kind words!

As far as the leaf's go...the older the better. I think the problem we had was not knowing the actual carbon content. It has to be a high in carbon in order to get hard enough for a blade. I have heard the older cars 60's and earlier used 5160 for the most part. But again, wont know for sure until we have it analyzed.

Just let me know what you may find and we can go from there. Thanks again bud,

Chris

Brian,

The OAL is around 13" long.

Handle material would be entirely up to you guys. It can be Micarta, G-10, G-11, Carbon Fiber, Wood etc. After working with Micarta for my first time, I really like how it feels in the hand though. Thats just my opinion though. Whatever your choice would be is what we will go with. I know it varies from one person to the next. What I like is may not appeal to most. That is another reason I love buying custom knives from other makers. They leave it up to me in what I am looking for. If it is something I am not comfortable working with I will be honest and tell you. I am just a little guy starting to make knives here and there for fun. So I will be as open and honest as I can to ensure you know exactly what you are getting. I will do the best I possibly can on every knife I make and test my skills in the process. I will always offer a lifetime warranty, if the knife ever fails you with normal use. This does not mean you can let it get blown up by a tank and I will send you a new knife...hehe

Again guys, I am just breaking into this knifemaking world and am honored you have all welcomed me like this, at the same time allowing me to grow as a maker!

You guys are truly awesome.

Chris

Chris,

What options are we looking at for handle material, and what is the overall length on that bad boy?

Ok here we go. If you can I would like molle-loks on a digital desert camo kydex holster. Handle material I would like micarta random urban desert. I am in no hurry for you to finish this if it is possible for you to get the materials I have asked for. I would happily wait for you to be comfortable with your blade making process before you made my knife. I trust you to provide a quality product when you are comfortable to do so. As far as the tank goes I'll try to keep the blade away from incoming rounds. :explode:
