Here is what I came up with for relocating my safe in my house. They worked like a charm. they are made of UHDM Polyethylene cut into 4'x2" strips. Each strip has a 4'x3" oak backing with antiskid pads on the back of the oak backing. They work great over any flooring surface you could have in your house.

Where do you find UHDM polyethylene strips?

My version of the moving “slick sticks”. Made from reclaimed oak base and scrap pile UHMW. I have a pair of hydraulic dollies but they only get you close and won’t get you everywhere. Pipe works great on concrete but no way you would want it rolling across hardwoods or carpet.

I use some lifting dollies I made years ago. You put the gray foam taped part under what you want to move and ratchet strap around the item to hold these on. Then use the pipe handle I have to work the lifting cams to raise the load. I've moved all my safes by myself and used them to lift safes on or off anchor bolts.

You did a real good job on those. I have a set of bigger hydraulic ones. Yep. They work really well. They just won’t get everywhere. I bought a little TL rated save that will barely fit into a small cubby in my carpeted closet. The think is 1,100 lbs empty. The slick sticks get me that last couple feet I need to go where the dollies won’t fit.
