I've flown both, but the jet in the shot is a -229 airplane.

I'm back in the training command now teaching the kids that will take my place in the big, gray jets on the pointy end of the spear.

I was just down in the test area this week and saw that engine. Sure wish that Boeing hadn't stripped the inlet before the shipped it in to Tinker, looks ragged. Great engine though!

Great photo's guys! I love the mil jets. When you hear them, it sounds like nothing but pure power. Civilian jets have to do the noise reduction crap.
Never gonna happen, but it was always a dream of mine to fly one.
