Just curious as to who everyone in Tulsa uses? Specifically someone familiar with large breed dogs and their dietary requirements.

marina animal clinic are good folks...

had problems with my 90lb GSD itching, scratching and biting himself raw. tried all sorts of different diets, pills, supplements, etc at suggestion of vet.... nothing worked... until I switched to an all raw meat diet.

all of his scratching himself raw went completely away. now my dogs get fed raw chicken quarters and wild game.

I've used Bent Arrow Veterinary Hospital in Broken Arrow (91st/Garnett) since we adopted our standard poodle from ARF through them. Dr. Kimberly Huckaby and staff are great and they seem to know a lot about the larger dogs/animals.

I've worked in the Veterinary field for 10 years. It took me almost a year of debilitating symptoms to find raw diet for my cats after nearly losing one of them to inflammatory bowel disease. None of the vets I knew (well over 20 of them) was able to help with treatment, everything was a failure until I tried raw rabbit. My cats are now healthy, vibrant and exhibit none of the symptoms associated with IBD. Shortly thereafter I switched my three dogs over to raw and many of their 'allergies' disappeared as well. I'm a believer and I'll never feed another pet anything but raw again. I refuse to even recommend commercial diets to clients who ask my opinion.

If you've found a vet clinic who supports your choice to feed a raw diet, you've found a real winner. Congrats.

I use Southpark Veterinary in Broken Arrow on Elm. I have two cats, a 5 lb chihuahua, a 50lb redbone coonhound, and a dachshund puppy. They are not cheap either but they are good.
