Have done a Timney trigger upgrade on it and will be shimming the bolt before long. Already shoots better than I can but I love to tinker. Going to add a .17hm2 sporter weight barrel soon. If anyone wants to drop their action into a boat paddle, be warned you will need to get the magazine plunger assembly and if you have an early 77/22 you will need to modify a pin in the assembly.

I recently inherited this Remington 241 from an old uncle. The stock had been varnished and looked tacky so I stripped it, gave it a tung oil swab and then waxed it with Tom's 1/3 Mix. Looks like it did back in the late 40's when it was new. This is a squirrel gun, par excellence.
