Haha..It is to catch the food I spill before it lands on my shirt. Just kidding.. It is a nomex hood designed to protect the firefighters neck, ears, and head area from heat. I went with a batman theme because there are often remarks made about my bat belt. I carry a multi tool, trauma shears, and my phone.
