Here's my Harley . . .
I have a 05 Mean Streak. Need to take a pic of it I guess. I did take some pics of the ride I took this morning with a buddy to Stroud on Route 66. We made stops at Pops in Arcadia area. Then on to the Rock Cafe in Stroud. Great place with lots of good people. Spoke to the owner and had a great meal. On the way back stopped at the Stable Ridge Winery and finally at the Seabe Station motorcycle museum. Great ride!
Cafe racer?
Yesssir! It's a '79 CB400. The mods are: clubman bars, '82 Nighthawk 450cc motor, Ducati Pipes, Re-Jet, semi-cafe saddle. Eventually I will be getting an improved cafe seat, and then streamlight the whole thing. Move with the rear lights moved in under the seat, bob the fenders, etc....
It's a fun bike!

I love, love, love race bikes since if it doesn't make the bike stop or go, it comes off. Cafe racers are close to that concept but obviously need just enough electrics to be legal. A lot of guys will totally ditch the speedo and run a simple tach. You might be able to find true clip-on bars for it as well if you wanted to go that route.
My dumb, procrastinating ass has been planning a wicked track BMW for several years and have all the parts to put it together but the rubber hasn't met the road, so to speak. It's going to have some fairly extensive frame mods, super basic electrics, clip-ons, complete safety wiring, etc. I'll post some pics later (on the road at the moment) of what I'm talking about.
Your Honda is such a cool project. If I lived in OKC I'd love to wrench on that little bike.

Posted since we had drifted into the cool topic of cafe racers. Since I'm a Beemer freak, it makes sense that I have a soft spot for BMW race bikes and cafe machines.
Been planning one for a few years and it will be similar to Brad Phillips' AHRMA machine.
Engine moved forward and up in the frame, massive modifications to airbox and starter cover. Frame braces added, crankcase breather routed out to the rear via hose. Rear-sets machined from scrap. Mikuni carbs.
Frame sectioned and lugged, allowing engine removal\installation. Machined spacer between trans and drive shaft
Battery (required for ignition) relocated under cafe seat cowling
Fork brace, top clamp fab'd from spare triple-tree bases. Brad does nice work.
