Was it the bullet or their twist rate? I know that bullets do funny things as they go trans-sonic, but most target ammo is subsonic (except long range rifle stuff) and it's usually pretty accurate.

I don't think the round has any trouble getting sub MOA groups. I just think it may be the gameking bullet I am using, but then again I dont think the deviation would be linear like it is. I am thinking perhaps my barrel is resting on the chassis somewhere. I didn't think to check it after I finished building it. Oops.

I think it has to do with the long bullets. I haven't hear of anyone having exceptional accuracy out of .300blk sub sonic loads and the external ballistics are pretty terrible past 200 yards or so. Wind hates you and small deviations in velocity mean a lot more drop than similar deviations at 2800fps.

That was my understanding as well.

How does it shoot with supersonic loads?

Really nice rifle.
Did you rebarrel the action yourself?
No but it can be done by the average joe from what I understand. The savages have user changeable barrels.

One of the best looking savage rifles i've seen.
Thanks, I was really pleased with the way it came out.

Going to get some factory loads and see what happens, I am thinking it is the handloads I was using.
