My order number is 13*** and I just received this email from them

Your order looks set to ship next week - let me know if you don't hear from us by then.

Thanks,
Leah

Maybe I'm crazy, "in stock" means at warehouse, ready to ship IMO. When they are posting that there is a 2 to 3 month wait and shipments are arriving daily, thats "backorder". Difference being that when I order from other distributors they don't bill me until they ship and Mako billed me immediately (6 weeks ago).

Bottom line, unless you want to pay today and receive this summer go elsewhere

If you ever wanted to dispute that charge it would be pretty easy for you. Credit card processing rules don't allow you to charge so far out ahead of an order, so they would get in pretty big trouble for that. (Although on a side note, they can "authorize" the card for the amount at the time of your order, but that's not the same as "charging.")

Dunno what to tell you if you don't understand. They have so many orders that they cannot keep up accurately in a quick time frame, per what they have said. Which to me, sounds reasonable a I have watched their comments closely on other forums because I was initially curious with my first oder as well. Going by replies on how fast the orders accumulated on arfcom and at what order numbers/rate they are coming in, I believe them. Maybe you can ask them to send ya a pic?

Don't believe them or don't like their charging policy? Quit complaining about semantics, cancel your order, and explore your other options.

I understand that they are very busy getting orders out but I bet they aren't any busier than the other companies that I've ordered from who aren't charging me until they ship or a couple days before. I don't need any other options, as I have plenty of AR mags, just wanted to try out their product.

My complaint is that I was billed immediately with the anticipation of a 3 to 4 week wait, as posted on their website. Website has since been updated twice since I ordered, extending wait time to 6 to 8 weeks and finally 8 to 12 weeks and I have no idea when I'll get my order. I'm not going to cancel, already waited this long. I just wanted others, who might need these before Independence Day, to know that they will be charged immediately and will have no idea when they'll receive their order.

Reason I don't believe they have them in stock and ready to ship: Co worker ordered a reflex sight and magwell grip from them two weeks after I placed my order and received it today. His order didn't contain magazines and mine did, only difference that I can see and the reason for my rant today.

Seems to me that logic would show that orders are orders. Mags or not. As far as being billed, some other vendors have done the same to me recently, PSA and Botach for starters. DSarms did not, but I got no less of service from the other two.

But again, call them up if you truly believe they are dishonest, call them out on it.... there's a tracking thread on the Mako industry forum on arfcom. There's lots of clarity from what appears to be the owner over there so speak up!.

Went through the tracking thread myself...... for anyone posting new orders....

as of Jan 31...

Starting this morning, all new orders will charge at the time of shipment, not at the time of order. This will slow down fulfillment a bit on future orders, but will not affect any current orders or the fulfillment time for them.
