Ordered some of the Greek ammo at the same time as the rifle. Ammo will be here tomorrow. No date on the rifle yet.
So, a month from the DBU to the delivery of the ammo? That's faster than they have been this past spring and summer.

Apparently ammo shipments are really speeding up - ordered two cans of HXP on the 10th, it's scheduled for delivery tomorrow - a week to the day.
Nice. I'll need to put in another order myself when I get the funds together.
Why doesn't some ammo mfg take the hint and sell a 30.06 marketed as Garand Safe and download them slightly to essentially be the same ammo as the Greek HXP?
Some manufacturers do market "Garand safe" 30-06 ammo. The only thing is, it's considerably more expensive. For now, the Greek HXP from the CMP is the cheapest around and quite good for milsurp ammo.
Commercial mfg'ers currently can't beat the price CMP is selling for. Only a mass-produced, government-funded source like milsurp can do that.
Just heard from CMP. They offered to switch my order from an HRA (that will take several more weeks to deliver) over to a Springfield they can ship in a day or two. I took them up on it.
