I don't think I have posted these pics of some of my old rides..
The first one is my 68 ss396 Camaro, I built it from the ground up. It ran 9.80's in the 1/4

This is my old 69 SS350 Camaro, I bought it wrecked and fixed it.

RIP Paul...

In tribute to Paul Walker and the Fast&Furious franchise here is my Toyota Supra, my third. I bought it a few years before the first movie came out. Its a 98' MKIV TT, the last of them imported in to America from Japan. Im hoping like hell that they decide to build a new model in 2015. I will be one of the first people in line to order one.
My first Supra was an 84' MKII all motor and my second was an 87' MKIII single turbo.

Nice ride. I am not a fan of "tuners" or "rice burners" or whatever folks call them, I have always liked BIG, and old sportscars but I have always had a huge soft spot for the Supra and the RX-7. No logical explanation, I just like them and always have. Yours appears to be a gem.

I go thru phases with cars. When I was younger it was V8s only. Ive had every generation of Camaro and Z28; 3 different generations of Corvettes; a couple of Firebirds and one Trans Am Firebird. Then I bought a Datsun 280Z from a friend on a whim and fell in love with rear wheel drive Japanese import hotrods. Sold the 280 to find a 300Z turbo but found my first Supra instead, a non turbo, and another Japanese rear wheel drive car. My second Supra had my first single turbo, and then I found the black twin turbo. I put the Supra in the shed and went back to V8s with Mustangs for a couple of years in a Cobra SVT and a GT. Got bored and sold both Mustangs last summer to look for a nice Nissan 370Z or even a 350Z. I ended up with its cousin, an Infiniti G35, one more rear wheel drive Japanese sports car. Looking forward to the next generation Supra if they ever get it built.

"tuners" or "rice burners"

Your typical "ricer":
- Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder
- Extra large spoiler on the back of a really small car that looks like something Boeing made for the 747
- Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but they must be really cool
- Super expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself
- Bodykit to make the car appear lower
- Clear tail lights and corner signals
- Most of these riced cars (a.k.a. "rice rockets" or "rice burners") are 4 cylinder but sometimes 6, imports, and usually front wheel drive: Honda Civics, Accords, Integras, CRXs, RSXs, Del Sols, Eclipses, Lancers, Subaru Imprezas, but there are also some domestics such as Chevrolet Caviliers, Dodge Neons, Ford Focus; etc. Basically a small, slow, economy car designed specifically to go s l o w.
Cars like the rear wheel drive Supras, Skylines, Infiniti G35s,37s and Nissan Zs, and even the WRX's are examples of high performance imports that were designed to go fast, and are not usually considered 'rice'.

"tuners":
Its not just import car fanatics who are tuning, alot of racers as well as performance junkies (including muscle car guys) are 'tuning' these days, but some do take it a little too far.
