Nice looking rifles! What was the total time from sent to received? I have two SASG's pending and am trying to get a good idea of where they are on the backorders. The HRA Garands seem to be moving quickly lately.

TA, you got what you asked for if I am not mistaken. At least on those 60's barrels. I have seen very few 46 or 47 barrels.

Indeed I did - those 60's barrels have a reputation for being the most accurate of all the USGI barrels, so I'm pleased about that even if they're not as "sexy" as getting an original barrel or a WRA barrel. The unmarked barrel is a neat bit of history, for sure!

You know the Garand I have... Well, I'd like a WWII era. PM me if you're interested. ;-)

Thanks - it's not much of a painted rack number left, but the Dymo label is a first for me.

Did you go straight to the pictures? It took approximately 120 days from send to receive, and my order number was 494150.

I need to buy another one probably going for a WWII era one. I have a Korea era Garand which is matched nicely with a similar era SKS.

I haven't had a chance to do anything more than a field strip, but I'll work on them tomorrow while it's wet outside. So far, the IHC op rod and early HRA trigger housing are the notable parts.

This is a work in progress, as I'd like to try and find hand guards that better match the stock, especially the rear HG. So far, this M1 has gone from this:

The stock set is all birch, with DAS and serif-P cartouches, so the stock was sent to Springfield Armory for use as a replacement during a rebuild. It has bedding of a color and type seen on National Match rifles built by SA, though it came to me separate from any rifle on which it might've originally been placed. The front HG has a bit of figuring along the lower edge, but the rear HG only has two-tone figuring instead of the three-tone on the stock. If any of you folks ever come across a three-tone USGI rear HG made of birch, please let me know
