That, plus I am seeing .22lr ammo back on the shelves and the prices seem to be coming down.

I still have yet to see it on the shelves at Walmart. When I do, then I'll consider the camping/grabbing and hoarding/reselling to be a thing of the past.

As for the OP, I get a kick out of shooting a Ruger Mk II Gov't Target pistol. Way more accurate than I am, but that's not saying much :wink2:

Yea I do not think I will ever compete in a shooting event. just do not like crowds that much.
But I do not mind the crowds at test and tune night at the race track as long as I am racing. but I do not compete there either.
Just like a couple friends to get together and shoot or race or fish and hunt.

Maybe it is the lack of long range accuracy I do not like about my .22's and the fact than only a few things you can hunt with them.
Could be that the kids are grown and we do not go shoot things anymore. Unless it is deer.

I bought one 3 years ago because I was going to the range every week and spending about $75.00 just for 9mm ammo every trip.I would shoot 300 rounds each time which was costing $300.00 per month. So I started shooting the 22 about 3 times a month and the 9 once so that cut it down to about $150.00 month. The money I saved on ammo bought me 2 more pistols in just that year.

If you are shooting 300 rounds or even 150 rounds of 9mm a month I would seriously consider casting and loading your own.
The cost for me to load 100 rounds of 45acp is under 8 bucks and a lee pro 1000 will knock out a bunch of ammo in short time.
I used to make it all on a single stage. Now I make more and shoot more.
