It was caught by a fisherman off the Japanese Island of Hokkaido and is the largest wolffish ever recorded. At over 6 feet long (roughly double the normal size), the speculation is that it is essentially a mutant caused by radiation from the Fukushima nuclear plant.

Watched a few documentaries on radiation effecting wildlife, it usually stunts growth in wildlife, not cause gigantic animals. Good documentary on Netflix about Chernobyl. They've been studying wales cat fish in the retainment pond of the reactor. The fish are all stunted.

I read some where that many of the workers had a strange malformation
It seems...if I remember correctly that ...several of them had body parts that grew extremely large....cant find the article...;/

They were large, but only compared to typical Japanese body parts.
