We encourage all members to train. That is why we have sponsored Larry Vickers, Ernest Langdon, and Jeff Gonzales in at Wilshire. $179 a year or $16 a month (our base plan. $149 / $14 for LE/Mil) won't buy much training. But in our members case it saved him $350k and the potential of life in prison (the only punishment sought in his case).

You'd be better off spending that money on training

Training doesn't mean squat if you lose everything in a civil suit, either to the lawyers or the plaintiffs. Not to mention how, even in this state, we have law enforcement that looks down upon us mere civilians defending ourselves.

I work for CCW Safe if you have any questions. We are locally owned but have members in all 50 plus DC.

Here is a story inline with your post. Steve was charged with murder after defending himself. We defended him (only case in the industry where a member was defended from incident to trial on a murder) to the tune of $350k.

What state was this guy charged in? Why can’t the max membership be paid monthly like the defender plan? Also I noticed it said only in places where it is legal to carry. So if someone was to carry past a sign they are still covered correct?

Anybody can file a lawsuit for anything at any time. The self-defense laws will allow you to win on a Motion to Dismiss (in most cases) very quickly, but you'll still incur some costs in having an attorney review the pleadings, draft the motion, etc. Yes, the law says you can recover those costs from the plaintiffs, but good luck collecting; people who end up on the wrong side of a defensive shooting don't tend to have affluent relatives.

How do these companies stack up in terms of financial solvency and resources? Do they put out balance sheets or other financial statements to verify that they have the capacity to cover their commitments?
