It may have been a good price for that gun, but it is/was still over a thousand bucks. It's hard to sell something that high here on the forum - the pool of people in the market for something like that is limited.
true, but it was a good deal. i just don't like 9mm is the only reason i offered it up. my daughter may like it for carry tho, should be much tamer than the 38 super i gave her.
i buy mostly online cause i don't get out much, i also get super discounts from several vendors who give old vets a price break. i buy my ammo strictly online from SGA cause they usually have what i want and i'm sales tax exempt which covers freight and then some. i buy 1 pound jugs of powder from village tactical from time to time, i prefer to buy 8 pound jugs but they can't compete with powder valley, and case lube, i buy dillon case lube from them. i buy nothing from walmart and haven't for maybe 20 years.
You can price gold as low as you want, but if people want silver, they ain't buying cheap gold.
I don't disagree with either of you. I really wanted OKCShooter's Steyr-Mannlicher LUXUS M rifle and felt it was fairly priced at $1700, but the funds just weren't there. Likewise more than a few of the double barrel and high end semi-auto shotguns on here, but alas no $$$.

No kidding! I've been wanting a Tavor and a PS-90 and drooled over that Steyr, too... maybe a couple of years ago I could have saved up for them, but with my job change, I just don't have the gun budget I used to have.
Dunno. Stillwater Armory shut down last year even though I thought they always had lots of business. They probably had way too much overhead and other expenses.
Could have been o line sales, but in my experience online prices aren't all that much cheaper when you pay for shipping and ffl transfer fees... Except if you buying used or police turn in guns.
I bet the real culprit is private sales (i.e. all you guys lol) and big box stores.

You may have nailed the reason. I don't know how they were paid, but it was a small gun store with limited inventory, no range and no training programs, yet there were at minimum a half dozen sales and staff folks in the building every time I went in there.
Would have been nice if they had a range. Only two options in Stillwater are Camo Corner a good 20 minutes down the highway or the SRPC club.
They would have had people lining up for lanes and rentals
