Finished a Form 1 suppressor, needed to get it engraved. Was planning on going to Black Label Armament but they told me they couldn't do it if the suppressor was completed, even with the stamp in hand. Ended up going to Hailey Ordnance/Testers, Inc in the Stockyards area to have them laser engrave my little 22 can. Stephen was awesome, thorough, and it turned out perfect. Got to see some of their suppressors and lowers (as well as their integrally suppressed 10/22 barrels with adjustable gas) and was really impressed. I'm always one for supporting local companies and this is one I wouldn't hesitate recommending. They can do logos, text, whatever, and the pricing was better than expected.

Would you please post contact info for Hailey Ordnance (website, address, phone #, etc..). Also, what did they charge for your engraving?

Their website has been down for a while. Not sure about the phone number.

They do some really nice work, or at least used to. I think the parent business is oilfield related. I’ve seen a varying amount of energy focused to the firearms side of things. I’ve wanted one if their integrated 10-22 setups for a while.

I didnt realize there was ATF restriction on laser engraving? School me please.
I don't think it's a restriction on laser engraving per se, it's just that most lasers that folks have in small businesses can't engrave aluminum to the depth required by ATF.

Aluminum is much more difficult to laser than any hardness of steel, stainless steel or titanium. Something about heat dissipation or light reflection. It's been a few years since I messed with them and can't remember the reason.

Also the specific firearm/FFL license requirements for taking in certain firearms to work on. They vary and some engraving shops just don't mess with them.
