I'm just getting into the AR world, just bought my first. I want learn as much as I can about the rifle and have a reference book to fall back on. Do you have a recommendation for a book on how to carry out caliber mods/changes or additions. Thanks for your help.

Best manual i have ever seen is:

Technical Manual, Builder's Guide, AR-15/M-16 Rifle. It a copy of the Armorers manual, but larger pages, detailed views and precise instructions. Put together by Randy Duckett, who used to sell them from a home buisiness (i think), i think Mr. Duckett has passed on so the books are getting hard to find. I found some for sale couple of weeks back at a fly fishing web site. they run 35 bucks plus shipping. best and last AR manual you would ever need.

here is a link to the place i found them https://www.flyshack.com/DisplayItem.aspx?ItemID=106076

Well first off I would suggest looking online more than anything else. Anything in a book will probably not have the latest things and techniques and can be readily found for free online.

Second off WTH would you post three threads with the same thing? One is more than enough.

really, not helpful comments, trying to cover all the bases.
