Its almost Prairie Dog time again!

This is my 5th year going. It started by asking a friend who lives there if he knew of any places, and he hooked me up with a landowner who has a field of the little moving targets. I bought a Savage 93V17 and put a Mueller scope on it and went out with no expectations and was blown away by how much fun it was. Needless to say I was addicted. I ended up getting my dad hooked, and put together an identical rifle for him to shoot...and 2 years later upgraded mine to the Bmag with a more powerful Mueller scope.

Be careful handling them for photos. The fleas on them can carry the bubonic plague. Several years ago a doctor went shooting them and died after receiving bites from the fleas.

Okay then, I am going to relist my Remington 700 VTR in 22-250 for sale. It would make a good prairie dog areator. It will be in classifieds later tonight or tomorrow, or you can probably find it as "gone" if you look, except I let it expire, it's not really gone. And I'll list an optional scope or two, and optional reloading dies and brass.

Yep . . . I worked on the Navajo reservation for just over 5 years and had to do a few investigations and pd hole dustings.
