Im getting my feet back under me after buying a one owner 55 Chevy post Bel Aire about 6 months ago that was parked and garaged in 86. It’s a dream come true. Trying to keep it mostly original, but safe and dependable.
I’m about to pull the prigger in some parts from Rockauto, mostly Ac Delco. Anyone know a better site to get better customer service and delivery.
It’s been 7 years since I did my sons 71 firebird and 13 since I did my 69 C10.

My 31 coupe has moved to the back burner that I’ve worked on since.

I bought a part once from Rockauto. The part I needed was available locally and was an aftermarket knockoff. Rockauto had original equipment part at about half the cost locally. Had to pay shipping but it was still cheaper. Shipping took about 5 days. That’s my only experience.

I have used RA multiple times. You have to make sure you check shipping. Sometimes Amazon is a bit more but free shipping makes it a better deal. Had a busted part from Rock Auto once. Filled out form online they shipped a new one asap. Their selection is best I have found.

I like RockAuto. They have excellent prices and a bevy of options, mild to wild. The only thing I don't like is their limited catalog. They categorize by year, make, model... Nothing beyond that. Makes it a PITA to get the right part occasionally when you're looking for 2005&1/2 Sierra Classic heavy half parts with three different motors codes and no way to filter by vin.

All in all, I still get my parts from there. Just double check fitment and compatibility before installing. Once you get the threads dirty/shiny, you can't exchange.

Right on thanks fellas. I’ve bought from them before. I was curious. Thanks for the feedback. I’m about to pull the trigger on a $600 order with a ton of small stuff, ignition, fuel, hoses, brakes, belts, etc. Hope it all shows.
