Are you just stroking Dennis' ego, or are you hoping I'll show up?!?!?!?!

J/K! Longest range I've ever had the opportunity to shoot was 400 yards, and that option is no longer available. I didn't shoot that 400 yards much at all and never got proficient. I think the .264 Win Mag was the only one I ever tried at that range.

Shhhh I am trying to butter him up so he will invite a bunch of OSA never do wells out to his range more that once a year!!

I might be into that, maybe, at Ponca. Depends on when. I'd need some time and some help getting out even to 300 probably. I've got a 6.8SPCII AR and a 24" 223 Wylde that I think would be fine for 300 and more, but I couldn't tell you how much further.

I've toyed with the idea of building a more long range option, just for the fun of it.

I have always wanted to get into long range shooting but have never been able to make it happen.

I can't afford an expensive set up so I have tried to stretch out what I have available a few times.

I got my Glenfield 30-30 consistently shooting minute of milk jug at 300 yards with Hornady LeverEvolution ammo and a scope.

I was also able to consistently ring torso sized steel at 400 yards with an AR15 and a 2moa red dot using TulAmmo steel cased 55gr ammo.

This was all about ten years ago so I'm not sure how well I would do these days under the same circumstances but I'm willing to give it a try with a PSA 16" AR-15 and a POS 6-24x50 scope using ~ $.30/round factory ammo. [emoji16]

I’m game for a little chootin. Rarely go past 200 but did take a Finn39 to 300 in a bonus round at a match. Surprised I had all ten shots on paper.

Come to think of it, a couple of friends over at Mannford took me to the Red Castle Range one time and we shot some hanging steel. At least, I think it was Red Castle. What distance do they have hanging steel targets? Seems to me like we shot at least 300 yards there.
