I'm in. I've been wanting to change the optic on my 308 for a while. This seems like a perfect opportunity to get it done before the next ENS.

Aaron Michaud out of Ponca runs AandJSportinggoods and he's an Athlon dealer. He can usually meet up in the city if he's in town to show and tell about the various models.

Similar warranty to Vortex and their features per dollar are quite high value. If you're in the market for something.

Aaron is a member in good standing of the Ponca City Gun Club. He and the Athelon factory team had a demo day at the range a month ago. I’m sure if we have something at Ponca, I could invite him out.

That's very nice. I'm not familiar with Athelon products, but would appreciate an opportunity to see some. As long as he takes Visa! I'd hate to come all the way to Ponca with a rifle, but not put a new optic on it and not shoot!

I'll do the 100/300 thing at Ponca, just need to pick a date WAY early so I can request to make sure I am off. Although I should be able to work it out of if I am scheduled, as long as it's not Spring Break week(end) or people may have trouble swapping.

I'd like to do some longer shooting after that, maybe a few weeks later. I would be willing to drive over to OKC and stay overnight if we have it planned well and I have plenty of time to troubleshoot my setup and load up some projectiles.

Let's pick 2 or 3 dates and places, I'll do my best to make them all. I'll try to get my son into it, too.

As of right now, a 6.8SPC 16" RRA AR is probably my best chance for long distance? Or my 24" Wilson bull barreled 5.56? Which do you think?

Or should I build something new? :D Not looking to shoot 1500 yards just now, but 300 or so at Ponca a time or two, then try to stretch it out to 500+, maybe even pushing 1000 if it's possible with my very basic equipment. I DO have access to a buddy's .308 or .338 stuff, or he might even come with me.
