When my Karate instructor wouldn't teach nun-chucks.
He said "Why learn something that you can't carry?"
He did, on the other hand, teach walking stick/cane techniques,,,
That training was worthwhile and got me out of trouble twice.
It won't be long until they ban the carrying of any tool,,,
It'll be like in England where you can't have a hammer in your car.

Back several years ago, in my mis-spent youth, I knew several fellows from a local motorcycle club. They all had a bandanna loop sticking out of a pocket - back pocket, front pocket, whatever. There was a padlock tied to the other end of said bandanna.
Others carried ball-peen hammers. Hard to outlaw a tool like that, at least back then. Or, those 6-cell Maglights that were half hand torch, half persuader.
