A lot of ranges have that stipulation. Mostly because they want trusted members, and want to hear about any complaints current members have about potential new members.
AKA somebody from Bloomburgs moms for action trying to get in to make covert video's and gather comments that may be detrimental to the range.
I can understand it from that aspect I guess.
Has something like that actually happened?
I can only reference our range about that. When new members apply, an email is sent to the executive staff with the name of the applicants.
I can’t think of anyone being denied membership. We don’t do a background check or anything like that, just get the name out there to see if anyone has a concern.
