He said 1 ton.

Look at the brake calipers on that thing.

The pictures don't do justice. I didn't weigh it, but it probably pushes the scales over 600 lbs. The axle tubes are 3.75" in diameter. But yes, the brake calipers are giant.

It makes the JKU stock Dana 30 look like a twig that would snap if you look at it wrong.

So what gears, lockers, tire size and rear axle are you going with? They're stout axles for sure. I'm around them alot on early broncos, and I've still seen guys break axle shafts but it's pretty rare. Nothing like axle breaks in Dana 44. Dana 30 on the 66'-70' are scrapped immediately if a guy plans on wheeling with them. The 71'-77' came with Dana 44 up front and they'll handle a lot, nothing like the Dana 60 and the Ford 10.25 in the rear. I've not swapped to tons yet, maybe some day. Dana 44 and Ford 9" taken me over some crazy things multiple times.

The previous owner of my daughter's JK put a lift and 35" tires on it, but left the 3.31 gears in. That was the first thing I did when we got home. Ordered 4.56/4.47 gears, took to a buddy's shop so I could use his lift. Made that job so much easier.

5.38s, ARBs, I have new 35's at the moment with 4.56's and it's under-geared. May go to 37's, but I am trying to keep it road worthy and drivable. Last time I built a rig, I just kept going... See Below.

Rear axle will be a GM 14 bolt with the same gears and locker. Axle year range I'm looking for is 1999-2006.

I have not set up gears before, although I have done a ton of research. You have any interest in helping with this if I bring you the axles?

I've not done Dana 60 or 14 bolt axles, I'd have to research them, I'm assuming they're similar as they're all about the same imo. You'll need a ft-lb torque wrench, a in-lb torque wrench(for pinion preload), impact gun, a shop press/or heat gun. Some require setup bearings to get backlash correct, so a bearing puller maybe needed. If shims are on the outside of the bearings a puller is not needed.
