Depends on the chef. Some I order well done and hope it comes out at least medium. If I do not order it that way they will have it still mooing. I prefer medium rare to medium but sometimes it is hard finding a chef who knows what that means. Some seem to think if they cut off the horns and hoofs and scrub it's a$$, it is ready to serve.

Oh no...I eat flank steak medium or medium rare too. Cut it cross grain and it is delicious and tender! And i would never eat a well done burger. But I might put some A-1 or Heinz 57 on a burger.

When my steak is served at the table, I’d best have to chase it around the plate and kill it or it’s going back to the kitchen.
Rare with salt, pepper and a big pile of mushrooms sautéed in garlic butter on the side.
I don’t even eat ketchup on fries.
My wife likes hers cooked kingsford style. Hard and dark Center.

Well done. Salt and pepper, no sauce. I quit ordering steaks in restaurants years ago because they wouldn't cook it, though I did have an amazing well done steak at a fancy place in OKC at the top of the Devon tower.

Like others have stated, I don't understand why some get so worked up over another man's preference for steak. When I grill for others I make it however they want and as long as everyone's happy, what's the big deal?

The only time in my life I've eaten steak that I didn't put steak sauce on was when I cooked some deer backstrap steaks over an open fire on a camping outing.
I did cook it well done too, on the end of a cedar branch widdled to a point, over a camp fire burning some oak & cedar wood.
I did have steak sauce with me, but that meat was so good & tender I didn't need anything extra on it. Best meat I've ever eaten, & haven't been able to duplicate it since.

Here, but occasionally There.
I guess I need to add "rare steak guys" to my list of folks to give a hard time. You know...

...add them to the stoners and boozers.

Medium well for me, but a good hamburger steak will be well done and have a bit of Worcestershire Sauce added while cooking.

Was in Colorado Springs at a place called Edelweiss and the wife insisted I get the filet mignon. I balked at the $27 price tag, but when it came out, it was perfect and there were two filet mignons, not just one.

I don't know if they still serve two or not, but next time we are there, I might just have to go find out.

I had weinerschnitzel from there last week- fair. The bratwurst was flavorless. I hope the filets are better for you Terry.
