You don't have high cheek bones to signify NA heritage? :laugh6:
I don’t want to pull an Elizabeth Warren Pocahontas thing here. Lol Been told my whole life we have Indian blood. Even have the high cheek bones. The DNA tests you and me or heritage test says that was false. Maybe it got washed out in the last 400 years. Don’t know.

Interesting links. I'll have to pursue them. My sister is the family historian and had published two hard back copies of her research to be distributed among family, not on the market.
One gap was the Native American link. She could find nothing because the Courthouse that housed the records where past research had that recorded burnt to the ground.
Nobody in the family has taken the DNA path, so this got me interested.
A son that is severely handicapped from an accident was told that if he had NA ancestry the tribe could produce more assistance than the state.

I read another link on Indian DNA from some Indian tribe link no idea where it is but it stated the DNA for American Indian
that can be seen on todays DNA tests is the DNA passed down by the Mother to child.
If your mother does not have Indian in her then you will not test positive for it.
If your father is Indian you will not test positive.

Testing is flawed or not up to the standards it needs to be is what the link was stating.
We have Indian on our fathers side but none on the mother or grandmother and so test Negative.

I would like to see more testing on that to see if it is factual that the mother only passes that detectable DNA.

Makes me think DNA testing is flawed for a lot of things. Someone is getting rich off of some wiz bang test.
Maybe in 20 years it will be more accurate.
