I'm going to butt in on this convo, but for another good reason.
The Blackhawk bag got me thinking about alternatives. I just happened to be near the Chickasha Goodwill, and I found a $3.99 racquetball racquet case, with a brand new $80 racquet.
But the case is what I was interested in. I didn't even check to see if there was a racquet in it.
I was just thinking gun possibilities.
I don't happen to have any pistols in rifle caliber laying around, so I got the new $99.99 backpacker 12ga I picked up Saturday at the Chickasha Atwood's.

It's a Rock Island imported Traditional single shot 12ga. $99.99 on shelves at your friendly neighborhood Atwood's.
Made in Turkey, and available in 12, 20, and .410. Most are 18" barrels. Some come with 3 chokes (valued at $25 each), and a choke wrench. This one did, so I got a shotgun for $25.

Thank you!

I'd never heard of this one. I thought LAW Tactical had a monopoly on the folding adapter market
I keep talking about the Dead Foot Arms Modified Cycling System, which allows a much shorter buffer that facilitated adding a fold stock/brace that allows for shooting the gun while folded. It's expensive, but it's the only solution if you want to use a direct impingement AR that can be shot with the stock/brace folded.

Otherwise, you could go with the Brownells BRN180 uppers--but they're twice the price of the Dead Foot Arms folding stock setup.
