I actually got to where I could "float shift" our old deuce that we used in our maintenance section LOL...always heard lots of stories of the A Driver on those trucks losing hearing in his right ear, I can believe it if you rode in one enough, exhaust stack being right outside passenger window

As a young Marine I always enjoyed being up on the ring mounted 50 cal. Especially out at the Stumps, you were in a breeze and had somewhat cleaner air. Plus, I didn't have to dismount every time we stopped to pull security....I was on the 50.

Not mine. Not my ad. I was surfing Craigs list for used gun safes and somehow this came up. It’s a funny ad for an old deuce and a half multi fuel army truck. It kind of reminds me of an ad I saw a long time ago for A Harley that was for sale. Anyways I kind of wish I had about 4 or 5 country squares. A few thousand acres. I have one of these just to go fiddle farting around with

This ad is a must read

Our unit got turned into a gun truck convoy security company in Iraq in 2003-2004. I was in the maintenance section, but always volunteered to go on missions, loved riding the Ma Deuce in the back! These were 900 series 5 tons, not 2.5 ton trucks though...I'd hate to have been a bunch of old school deuces doing that stuff!

Never drove one on the road, but I spent a lot of time being transported in the back of those sorry things. Owning one of those is somewhere around 7,423,657,021 on my list.
