Hey there, I’m wondering if any of you that are running Spypoint’s are having any trouble with them?

Had this camera for 3 years now, 1st year trouble free, 2nd year when I turned it on they updated their system and changed the plan I was on. After a week of trying to get the factory on the phone figured out I needed to update my plan, trouble free after that.

This year, it’s been a PIA! Worked great for 3 weeks then it quit sending pics to my phone, it’s been going in 3 weeks back and forth with the factory. Tried everything they said and still not sending pics. The plan I’m on is the premium and I’ve got about 30 days left on it.

Any suggestions other than seeing if it’ll work better under water?

What other cell cameras is everyone running?

Thanks hunter966

Same here. They’re complete junk. Said they’d credit me for my unused months while it was broken but they can’t even get it to work so I can use the credits. I’m moving to the Cuddelink system. Spypoint is is junk.

Until the mods made the "similar posts that might interest you" at the bottom of the thread disappear it would show links to the threads with similar titles. Spypoint cams have been discussed here a few times. Overall negative. I wouldn't spend the money on lithium batteries for a Spypoint if the camera was given to me.

Steven, I didn't know you were on here.
Nevermind you are not Steven. I have a friend named Steven that has had the same issue. They will not refund his unused data plan.

That’s funny you say that about given to me. It was given to me by a buddy 3 years ago. He liked them so much he’s got 4 and a couple are giving him a little trouble too.

I have 4 different friends that have had enough issues they didn't continue to use them more than 1 year. The latest is considering using the cameras to check sight in of his rifles and video it for youtube to try and recover some of his loss.

I’m not Steven, but we got the same treatment. The cameras are ****. The bad thing is they don’t take bad pictures, they just don’t transmit worth a damn. Along with that they eat batteries, get hung up in cycles, have to be updated physically, don’t have US support, and are all but nonexistent when anything goes wrong. I’m done with them.

Cuddelink is supposed to be considerably better. I talked the the manager at Scheels who’s a camera junkie. He wouldn’t even buy one of the Spypoints just because of the known issues. He said of all the cameras he’s run in the last several years (cell systems) that he’s only running the Cuddelink system now due to ease of use, reliability, and cost of service.
