I haven't hunted dove in several years, so I don't really think about what I'm seeing or how common they area. I didn't realize the white wings were uncommon around here. I've been seeing the Eurasian collared doves for quite some time, and have seen some white wings this year. I hadn't thought about it, but this could be the first year I've seen a white wing in my neighborhood.
I still haven't seen one, but I know some were shot in Major county this season.
I've never seen a white wing in Oklahoma. Visited a buddy in Katy Tx a few years back that lived adjacent to some rice fields. The power lines were sagging from the weight of all the birds on them that ran across his back yard. When we went outside, they flew and the power lines didn't sag so much. I thought he was bullshatting me when he told me that.

I too have been enjoying some good dove shoots but I would appreciate your suggestions. I am not very happy with the ear protection I have been using. Can't go with ear muffs...get in the way of gun stock. I don't think the old stand by foam ear plugs are not getting the job done. What am I going to do? Know what I mean huh.
