so, maybe kind of mil-surplus? i mean it does say mil-sport on the side of it....

i got a oddball ar-15 rifle, says american tacticle imports mil-sport 15,

has a canadian maple leaf on it and in bold says "for export only"

kinda odd, oh yeah and the serial number starts off with CAN-followed by the actual numbers.

from what i read online, this was a gun made for canadian law enforcement that made it over across the border right in time for the canadian assault weapons ban and came back.

just wanted to share my oddball ar15 i got. i guess in a way its unique.

Pictures need pictures of this odd ball. Sounds interesting

well we have all seen photographs of ar15s so it is nothing new, so i will show what the lower looks like.
(this is not my lower, just photographs i copied from somebody on arfcom that has the same kinda lower as me)

i was curious about it and did some digging around on that website and found out the history of it.

i got the lower mated to a PSA .556 upper with magpul furniture and a bushnell trs-25, i think i got close to 30 rounds thru it. used a unmarked parts kit for the lower. its been a good gun just have not got to shoot it much because you cannot find ammo anywhere at freakin all right now.

ar15s are not really my thing, got bored and just wanted to build one and i have been thinking about trading it for another ak but i think im gonna hang onto this one. it is kind of unique. plus its my only ar15 i own.

guess it sucks for canadians but more guns for us :)
