I was looking at these today. I am interested in the 3 inch model. They had one with a hammer and one without.I am wanting the one without a hammer. On that revolver the cylinder was really hard to unlatch and their was very little space between the cylinder and the frame. The one with the hammer seemed fine. For $850.00 i want a revolver that doesn't have problems from the start. Is this a common problem for the kimbers? Thanks

I’ve owned my kimber k6s DC for close to 2yrs I’m thinkin. I posted a review/comparison thread around here somewhere. I’ll try to find it. I absolutely love mine. Yes it has less gap in about every spot. I have no issue opening mine. I can push the button with my thumb and open it with a flick of my wrist.

I picked up a K6S TLE, the 3" DAO without the external hammer, a few weeks ago. The salesman handed it to me and 30 seconds later I was reaching for the credit card. The TLE is really well made. It is hard to unlatch the cylinder, but I expect that to work itself out with use. My wife really likes it too, but will need .38 Special.
What I don't have is any ammo for it. At least a revolver is perfect for dry firing practice.

Cowcatchers old thread has plenty of pictures. Also 04l, do you need a picture to know if you own or have owned a kimber revolver? If you don't own or haven't owned a kimber revolver or know someone who does then your contribution to this thread is worthless.
