... states that don't recognize ours?

I'm currently on travel to a state that does not honor any other state's carry permits, so perhaps understandably it pisses me off that we as a state would grant rights for carry in our home to those folks. On the other hand, that whole "shall not be infringed" thing. Would barring carry to those outsiders perhaps incite a change of that state's policy?

So, just curious, what do others think? Should we as a state allow citizens of another state to carry in ours when they don't grant us the same courtesy?

It won't make a bit of difference to those other states. Even if it did, doing the wrong thing for the right reason is still doing the wrong thing.
In our case, we obviously have constitutional carry for basically everyone, and even then, we honor the permits for every state. On the flip side, 39 states honor our permits, and 11 + most territories don't. Like I said above, I don't agree with denying anyone what I feel is a right, but it's still hard to not feel short sticked in the current arrangement. It's not even like we're alone in this --- if my notes are right all, or the majority of, those 11 states don't recognize the permit of any other state. Seems a bit like they are thinking their residents are better than ours that they'd be able to have rights we don't depending on which invisible line on the land we've crossed.

Without knowing which 11 states they are, I think you're reading it backwards--I'd bet that most, if not all, of them don't even want their own residents carrying.

I do understand the sentiment, though.

No, that's a good point too. The list is:

California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Guam, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Virgin Islands, American Samoa, N. Mariana Islands

The bolded ones are the most obvious ones to prove your point. The italic ones are the ones that were more surprising to me. I don't know too much about the laws in the territories.

I lived in Maryland for a few years. It is a very restrictive state that doesn't want its own residents carrying sharp sticks. Carry permits are difficult to get since MD residents have to prove a need.
Stupid laws.
When my wife finally got enough justification for a permit as a small business owner and firearms instructor, it was nice to know that my home state of Oklahoma recognized her Maryland permit and we could legally drive to OK and back with a firearm that wasn't disassembled and in a locked box for the entire trip.

1: ANY AND ALL laws, ordinances, and directives that restrict the Second Amendment in any way are illegal and unconstitutional.

2: Punishing the subjects of communist States by banning them from carrying while visiting the Citizens of a Free State is the EXACT logic and mind of the communist overlords in the occupied states.

3: Maybe, those subjects from the communists states will want to flee oppression and move to a Free State. Hopefully strengthening our numbers for the fast approaching "Great Boogaloo" that politicians both left and right so desperately want to inflict upon us.
