There’s not much better than watching a good dog work, and both y’all appear to have some jam up good ones. Speaking of mischief, I was talking to a guy today who’s a first time Lab owner, and his pup is an 9 week old little boy. He was amazed at how much trouble such a little dog could get into.
I found out almost 30 years ago when I got my first Lab that the old adage “idle hands are the devil’s tools” was written with Lab puppies in mind.:thumb:
Yep, digging holes, dragging the garden hose around etc. only happens when he hasn't been excercised.

My new duck hunting partner! It has been 20 years since I have had a puppy and he is wearing me out! Can't wait to see how he comes along.

I’d like to say he gets a lot of practice in the offseason, but that’d be a lie. He sleeps, chases the other one, plays with the kids, and just turns into a couch potato. But when you put his hunting collar on he becomes a different animal.

He does get plenty of retrieving from the pool. Sometimes a bumper, sometimes a pool float, sometimes the damned pool vacuum or a kid. He’s not particular.
