Found this a few months back and never got around to posting it.
It's a Savage model 3 in Monkey Wards clothing.

Based on the pattern, barrel length, curved steel butt-plate, and other features it appears to date to 1931-1932.

Actually got it to the range tonight. Shooting at 25yds with iron sights. And a target that kept swinging side to side on me. I was aiming at the #4.

That's a Dollar coin for size and the coin is just a hair over 1" wide.

Not bad for an almost 90 year old, single shot rifle.

I've got a Savage 3B that is very similar to your rifle,,,
It's easily one of the most precise .22's I own.

I'm in the process of paring down the number of .22 rifles I own,,,
I've amassed way too many over the years,,,
I'm giving three to a friends sons.

But I believe I will keep the Savage and try to restore it's cosmetics,,,
It's just a very satisfying rifle to plink cans with.
