One of my favorite gun smith's AB, and one of my favorite books. His stones were made of STEEL!

While not a 1911 ... this is the Browning HP Behlert did for me. Has his trigger, a lowered Bomar, his thumb safety and he took that mag safety off. Out of the box, this Browning would not fee ball ammo. Now it is like a (very) fine Swiss watch.

And yes, Corbett must have had a meaty set of clackers to do what he did.

thor477, you will love the Dan Wesson. My ECO runs like a JD tractor. Absolutely the one of the best 1911s I have ever owned.
Thanks. The previous owner claims to have bought it new and never shot it. After disassembling it and inspecting it thoroughly, I believe what he said to be true. The thought had occurred to me to keep it pristine, but this thing is begging to be shot. I'm not really worried about the possible resale value down the road if something happens and I need to sell it. For right now, I'm going to enjoy it.

Shoot it.

>>but this thing is begging to be shot.<<

*I* want to shoot it, and it's not even my gun!! :rollingla Seriously, I doubt collector value is that much of a consideration.
