Good luck on your search Kevin. They occasionally pop up on here. I got mine from osa and there’s been a few others. They flat shoot lights out! I’ve taken one to 300 yards with cheap Tula ammo and got all 10 shots on an official NRA target. In fact, had I not questioned my impact point and changed my hold point. The group would have been all center in the black.

You might give Big Boys Guns and Ammo in Mustang a call this week. They usually have a few gun racks of old milsurp rifles. They may have one, at least that'd be the first store I'd call to find out.

My dad left me a Fin m39. He bought it about 15 or 20 years ago supposedly unissued. He fired it great shooter.
I don't want to shoot it for fear or de-valueing it. I guess it doesn't matter as it has been fired.
I am curious to know what it is worth for insurance purposes. Not really interested in selling

We don't really do value estimates here. You can get on Gunbroker and search the completed items. Look for the completed listings with at least 1 bid. This should give you an idea of current value.

Keep in mind valuations will be regional. What might be major bucks on either coast may not get much interest in Oklahoma. I’ve been trying for a while to sell a M1 Garand made by International Harvester, but I want a FTF. Even though at my price the rifle would be gone in an instant in other parts of the country, here no one has stepped up since a plain Jane M1 made by Springfield will do the job just as well for a lot less money.

Absolutely so. Owned 23 mosins before selling them all to a guy from California at Wanamaker 7 yrs ago. Got top dollar. He liked the price. No local interest as a group. You just never know
