Who is the go to for barrel finishing in central OK? I’m about to order a stainless lothar walther barrel, and would like it to at least sorta match the other nitrided barrels and receiver. Should I just look into cerakote?

He would need to plug the barrel, tape the threads and use clean glass beads; not alox or soda. Other than that, you really can’t mess it up

sweet. I’m going to consider it. We used glass bead the other day to strip the paint off of a house with copper gutters. So much fun.

So where does the paint and glass go after it strips it off?

I stand corrected, we used crushed glass. The glass and tiny bits of paint are typically blown around and are essentially turned into mulch. Assuming the paint does not contain lead, the entire process is biodegradeable and no environmental cleanup is necessary. We also used corncob grit to remove the paint from the eaves, it too ends up becoming mulch.
