We can do that Brother.. We might even cut the gurl in so that she's on the same playing field as us.. Providing she's not run over with a lawnmower or something between now and then..
Oh hardy har har guys!!
I'd LOVE to have cuttings!! AND ... Just so y'all can't say I took advantage of ya I'll bring some fig and blackberry cuttings of my own to swap with ya. Might get lucky and get some homemade bread, too ... I think I need a Kitchenaid with a dough hook for my birfday so I can make some bread.
Ha, I owe her many cuttings already! With her luck, I hope that Santa brought her a new bubble-wrap outfit.
Typically you take the cutting(scion) around this time of year. There are a couple of reasons, One, you don't want to expose the parent plant/tree to open wounds too early to let virus/ bacteria in. Second, You don't want to wait too late and have the scion damaged by the weather/ freeze damage.
OSU had a good episode on rooting hormone that talked about the different levels of active ingredient and what applications that calls for it.
Wow dude! You have been busy. I should go get cuttings off my fig bush and blackberries in the morning??
