I'm looking to do some upgrades on a Rossi model 885 revolver in .38 Special that I picked up. I'd like to install a Wolff spring kit on this but I can't find any listing for a Wolff kit for a Rossi. Any idea what would interchange with a Rossi Model 885? I'm also looking to upgrade the grips but I've looked at Altamont and Hogue and, again, cant find anything for a Rossi. I do find Hogue grips for a Taurus Model 88. I just don't know if they'll interchange with my Rossi.

So I called Wolff today and a customer service representative advised me that a spring kit for a J frame Smith & Wesson
should work just fine on this small framed Rossi. I suspected as much but it's always good to hear it from someone who
knows more than I do about it. So now I am looking for some aftermarket grips for this gun. I know I can always get a set
of Pachmayr round butt for more practical use like on the range or conceal carry. Then I want something a little more exotic
like a pair of Altamont's of some kind. I've got an email in to them to see if they can match anything up to this Rossi 885 round butt.

I have had success with putting pachmayr on an older Rossi. I had to fit ever so slightly, but there is pleanty of material to remove what very little room I needed.

So is there not a Pachmayr made specifically for the Rossi small frame revolvers? Or are there differences between the older and the newer frames. I was looking at a set on ebay that just says Pachmayr Rossi small frame compact grip.

The grips I used were for a taurus. I got them for 5$ in a bargain bin at a pawn shop years ago. I don't have said gun anymore, or recall what specific taurus the grips were for, but if I had to guess it was an 88. I know the uncle mike's paddle holster for an 88 worked perfectly.

I put the Pachmayr on my Rossi 462. It worked well. Seems I had to remove the alignment pin, slept since then.

Does anyone know if there is a Smith and Wesson internal kit that would work on these pistols? I’ll dig mine out of the safe later today and make a post about it. I think it’s the same model as yours but I haven’t pulled it out in years. Took it apart when I was 14 because nothing worked on it. Kept all the parts though!
