Look on YouTube for AR-15 lower assembly video, That should get you going.

If you don't plan on building/having many ARs, I would highly recommend not going with a GI trigger (basically most that come in a lower parts kit). The Larue MBT mentioned is a great trigger out of the box.
Also, for anybody that has a AR I would recommend you have an armorer's wrench and vice block. If you're only going to ever have 1 AR, then maybe not. If you are going to have 2 or more, then absolutely. I prefer the Magpul variants of them myself.

I bought our 3 sons and son-in-law stripped lowers and parts kit for christmas one year and had them come back and let them do the assembly from a utube video. they had fun doing it. Later I bought them complete uppers to finish it off.
I always liked the CMMG lower parts kit. Parts are grouped together in color coded bags,so you know what's what.
Appreciate the offer. I'm still trying to decide how and what I'm going to do.
