If it's not unfired new in the box perfect. Go for it. keep it 20 years and maybe it'll be worth $50 more than a regular, but I doubt it.
They put that on everyone they made that year. that means thousands.

Don't worry...the first time you take it apart and try to get it back together you'll scratch the heck out of it and it won't hurt to cut it up.
Nah, learned the hard way on the mark 3 22/45 how to take it apart and put it back together. The take down is nothing to me now. I prefer the mark 4 push button don’t get me wrong.

Also..... we don’t talk about THAT mark 3....

I’ve got two target model stainless MKII’s. One is a heavy tapered barrel, one a bull. Both have been shot like crazy. Still look damn near new.
I’d have no problem cutting one up.
You just have to decide whether or not you bought it to shoot or as an investment? Either way, it’ll probably bring what you’ve got in it.

Well whether I get it cut up or not I plan on shooting the piss out of it like all my other guns. Just cutting it up is the decision that I’m going back and forth on. I think I’ve decided to do it though
