Everytime I get to digging thru ammo cans, boxes, crates, storage containers I find things I think I never had. That's what you get Gunsmithing for 20+ years, Gun collecting for 45 years and being a hoarder.
I was needing a thread adapter for a 5/8x24 or 1/2x28 to 7/8 x9 tpi to shoot a Sionics suppressor.
I didn't want to pay $75 for one and have been too lazy to turn one on the lathe.
Well, low and behold I'm looking in the garage tonight at a little tray of junk my wife made me take out to the garage and right on top is one in 1/2x28.
Have no idea when I bought it probably 20-30 years ago.
Found a 243 Rem 700 barreled action the other day mostly complete. Didn't know I ever owned a 243.
My next search will be for a AR7 pistol barrel. The AR7 pistol has a heavy threaded barrel on it now and I know the original is around some place. Fun, fun, fun.

I used to scratch my head about people “forgetting then finding stuff” a few years ago. Now that I’m well into my 40’s I don’t scratch my head anymore, I’m living that experience. :coffee2:

Oh it gets better as you get older...I get to make "new friends", and see "new" places every day!
