I'm giving up the place I'm leasing currently as the deer density is abysmal and as a lessee, I've been having to deal with a lot of items that I'd rather not pay for the pleasure of dealing with cattle, loggers, etc.

Being a longtime member here, I'd hope my reputation of being respectful and flexible is established so please let me know if anyone is aware of anything within an hour of OKC. I like to keep it close as I have young kids and breaking away for multiple days isn't feasible right now. I'm all for approaching deer hunting as a team, playing the wind, sharing spots (or not, whichever).

My lease in Hanobia may have just went bye -bye ! I guess the old man just passed and the kids turned the lease over to a local couple, who I know are good folks , but have not received any answer from as to the details of the lease.

It always sucks to lose one. Hope you're able to establish communication and continue hunting it.

Me too , love it out there and have been looking for property to buy!!
It will all work out , I am just an impatient bastidge !! The Clines are great folks, I cut a fuel line and Chris sold me the fitting to fix the line and let me use his shop to do the repair. All for $5.... yes no zeros!! They also sell a great burger out of their C-store and the service comes with a genuine welcoming!!!
If any of you folks go out there to ride the roads in Talihina to look at the trees turn make a point to stop in Hanobia for a burger! Bring an appetite as the burger would feed 2 if I were not a chow hound!!
Just do not make fun of the bigfoot crowd... they take that stuff pretty serious down there!!

There's certainly still salt of the earth people out there and it's always refreshing to hear proof more exist. That area of the state is special and darn near pristine more often than not.
