Finally got a freeze drier

I'm not totally familiar with that process. Can you expand on why you have this for those with inquiring minds.

It freeze dried food for long term,10-25 years.Think mountain house type.
It can be dried raw or cooked. Stored in mylar bags with oxygen absorbers.
Preserves most of the nutrients.

Ok, I learned something tonight.
How does it effect flavor?

This is tenderized steak. You can soak it in water and it will be back to fresh meat.

Anything you do will change some flavor. Just like canned food doesn't taste exactly like fresh.
