I already have a XDM 4.5 9mm and a shockwave 12 now I am looking for a long range (about 500 yards) bolt action repeater. I want to have around a 1 to 1.5 MOA accuracy.

There are some knowledgeable people here about long range shooting. We had an eat and shoot get together last year dedicated to it. Ask your questions in the appropriate threads and I'm sure you'll get a lot of info and advice.

Yew don't know nuthin'.

I done spent way more than my budget... I cain't afford to double it. lol

Just kidding, really, you DO need to do some research and get good glass. I ended up taking a bit of a chance on a newish company, and I had to wait quite a while for my scope, thanks to production delays and shipping delays from China, but I did end up getting what I think was a scope worth 2-3x what I paid. I paid about $500, but I believe in features and quality mine competes quite well with those in the $1200-2000 range.

Welcome, Troy.

I'm certainly NOT the guy to talk to about firearms, even though I "might" own a few. But I will chime in and repeat that the glass is important. While I only have one rifle with a scope on it, I am a bit knowledgeable about cameras and their lenses. In the photography world, there are a LOT of folks saying that the glass (the lenses) are more important than the camera bodies.

Oh, and have fun here at OSA.
