Where did you purchase it from?
That sucks. Hopefully you bought it from a stand up retailer.

walmart.com. At the time, the only place that had them in stock. The have, so far done good, in arranging a freight pickup and once that is done issuing a refund. They would have replaced it but had none in stock to do so. I see Amazon has them in stock now but I hate to buy from them.

Wal-Mart will make it right. Amazon is iffy about returns. I would wait and try Wal-Mart again, or else if you have a Lowe's or Home Depot. I got 2 bum water softeners from Lowe's last year. They both leaked, (A.O. Smith). They came and picked both of them up, and issued me a full refund. No questions asked.

With Lowe's or Home Depot, I believe you can give them your E-Mail, and they'll automatically notify you when they have them back in stock.

Amazon is iffy about returns.
With Amazon you have to look and see if Amazon is selling AND shipping the item. If so read the return policy, well go ahead and read it anyway, but they have been outstanding in the CS department for me. If it's just some yahoo selling wares on Amazon all bets are off.

I bought an Optima battery for my car. It died 1 month before the 4 year warranty was up. Amazon checked it and said "Yes, we did sell and ship it, but we don't have another one in stock at this time to replace it with". Instead they gave me a full price credit. I got to use that battery for almost 4 years at no cost in the end.

Since Covid, Amazon no longer has phone contact. I got ripped for $44.86 on a CD player they sent a replacement for. I asked the girl how to return the old one, and she said there's no need to return it, just discard it.

So I didn't keep up with the paperwork and shipping stuff.

Couple months later (after Covid), I got an email saying if I didn't return the old one, I'd be charged $44.86.

No phone, email, or any other contact that I could find (believe me, I tried). So I paid $44.86 for the replacement, when the old one only cost around $32.

I still use Amazon because our options are limited, but I'm not the fan I once was.
