I think it changes the mission of the weapon by extending the length of grip etc. Excellent ccw, if I need mag capacity then it becomes larger and more challenging to carry well. I love how easy the shield carry’s. My wife’s g42, I haven’t tried but heck it is apx 1” shorter barrel and two” in grip length just throwing them next to each other. It would disappear even in dress clothes. Random photo of regular shield after sitting at my desk and walking around the community, shirt. Could look tighter but just for a quick reference pic it will workView attachment 197348

I rotate what pistol I carry every week. It’s either a Glock 26 or a 19x or a 17. I can carry OWB with a double mag pouch and you can’t see it when I wear a T-shirt. That is how good the holster I use is. Fits extremely close to my body. Even when I wear my bigger glocks you can’t see them. I also use a Kore tactical belt which makes a big difference.

I used to have a shield and really liked it. The two things that I didn’t like were the trigger and the magazines. I may have to check it out. But then again, I can carry my 26 if I want a smaller pistol and with the Pmags I have 12+1.

I found these posted elsewhere. I think there is only dealer access right now.

The Shield is a fine option for CCW...for many. I just found that it felt like a banana about to squeeze up and out of my hand personally. Now if S&W would only make a 9mm based on the same frame as their M&P .22 Compact, I'd be on that like ugly on an ape!

Have you ever tried grip tape?

I've never felt the need for it personally, but I know a lot of guys use it on most, if not all of their handguns.[/QUOTE

Yeah, I've used it before, and I've put Talon Grips on handguns too. It's just the overall shape and hand-filling feel of the Shield that that I don't like.

Man, it seems they kinda snuck this one in on us. It's interesting in how the market works, the P365 set the CCW world afire, followed by the Hellcat, and now this new Shield Plus.
Where's Kimber?

Okay Tony, don't keep us in suspense. . What is the scoop on this holster of which you speak? Who makes this? Pics are always welcome!
