New model doesn't bother me, competition is great.

As long as that model isn't a "NEW" cartridge. What niche is NOT covered by an existing cartridge? What was the last new cartridge introduced, that really was new, innovative, successfull?
The Noslers? Nope
WSSM? I have long action and short action rifles, not enough difference to matter.
.260Rem, not "new", put a 6.5 bullet in a case already available with a 6mm, 7mm, or 7.62mm bullet.
6.5 CM? A shortened .260
6.5 Grendahl? AR capable, yippie. A dud
.327 Fed Mag? Ah, we have actually hit on one.
.225, 5.56? 60 years back!

"OLD" cartridges still around.
.22LR, .38Spl, .45Colt, .45ACP, 9mm, .30-30, .30-06, .308, 7x57, .45-70
IF only those were available, where would we be lacking?

New and improved is a marketing ploy to get your $$$$$

Just picked 1 up, maybe a good idea, maybe not. Will be a few weeks until it sees any love.
